1989 Began career as freelance Artist, painted signs, murals, originals and worked construction part time

1992 Full time career as Artist, and the dawn of the Endangered Species Murals. Painted first public Endangered Species mural in Folcroft, Pennsylvania

1992 Artist devotes his life to paint murals around the world in public places in order to help raise public awareness for the Endangered Species.

1995 Artist opens first solo gallery in Congress Hall, Cape May, New Jersey

1995 North Wildwood, NJ. Worked with Mayor, City Council and painted eight Endangered Species Murals as an Environmental Awareness Beautification Project

1996 Painted Endangered Species Mural # 31 in the Bahamas at Walkers Cay gaining international exposure

1996 Cape May, NJ worked with Mayor, City Council and Historic Society to paint Endangered Species Mural # 34, a Historic Landmark Mural in Cape May, New Jersey, and the oldest seaside resort town in the nation. Awarded Resolution #176-9-96

1997 Painted Endangered Species Murals 36-37 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Received beautification award

2000 Painted Endangered Species Mural # 46-47 in Cape May, New Jersey, titled “Cape May Legends” Dedicated by actor Robert Prosky

2001 Named the “Official Artist” for Ocean Fest, a Dive and Adventure Sports Expo, in Fort Lauderdale, FL

2004 Established David Dunleavy Gallery LLC in Stone Harbor, New Jersey

2004 Collaborated with Explorer Jean-Michelle Cousteau, actor Leslie Neilson, and producer Peter Hayman to produce the first educational DVD for the Ocean for Youth foundation

2004 Painted Endangered Species Mural # 48 at the Melbourne Aquarium in Australia. The Largest Marine Mural on the continent of Australia

2005 Painted Endangered Species Mural # 50 at The History of Diving Museum in Islamarada, FL. Worked with Mayor, City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Drs. Joe and Sally Bauer and special guest artist, Guy Harvey . The largest Environmental Awareness mural in the Florida Keys.
